No. 8 Eastlake (9-2) at No. 1 Gonzaga Prep (10-1)

  • At Stake: Winner will play Skyview-Oak Harbor winner in semifinals.
  • Quick slants: Eastlake quarterback Ryan Robertson was 12-of-16 for 199 yards and two touchdowns in the first half of last week's victory at Olympia. Robertson, a junior, led all 4A Kingco quarterbacks in passing this season. ... Gonzaga Prep quarterback Max Manix threw for 144 yards against Moses Lake last week. Manix also rushed for a team-high 53 yards. ... Eastlake's defense has allowed just two touchdowns this postseason. The Wolves kept Olympia to 205 yards of offense last week. ... The Wolves gained 321 yards of total offense last week, 244 of which came in the passing game. ... Gonzaga Prep's defense is allowing just 8.5 points a game, which is the best average among all Class 4A teams. Eastlake, which is allowing 9.9 points a game, ranks third in 4A. ... Eastlake's Tanor Johnson has scored a touchdown in each of the Wolves' last four games. He has run for a touchdown, thrown a touchdown and caught a touchdown this season. ... Since their loss to Bothell on Oct. 14, the Wolves' defense is allowing just eight points a game. ... Eastlake running back Dane Steel has a team-high 13 touchdowns this season. He has rushed for 827 yards and 12 touchdowns.
