  • Quick slants: Eastlake, which was eliminated in the preliminary round of the playoffs last season by Cascade, had the best offense in 4A Kingco this season. The Wolves averaged 356 yards and nearly 33 points a game. ... Evergreen running back Jerry Bruner rushed for 280 yards and five touchdowns during the Plainsmen's victory against Mountain View last week. Bruner was injured in the team's season opener and did not return until Week 6. ... The Wolves defense, led by All-Eastside linebacker Jared Fagan, allowed its opponents just 166 yards a game. ... Eastlake junior quarterback Ryan Robertson led 4A Kingco in passing with 1,989 yards and 20 touchdowns. He ranks 11th in Kingco history for passing yards during the regular season. ... Evergreen, which won the Class 4A title in 2004 against Skyline, lost in the first round of the postseason last year to Woodinville. ... Eastlake has not won a postseason game in its history.
