Summary:

Coach Steel coached in the Eastlake Youth Football Program, for six of the past seven seasons, four as head coach and two as an assistant.  His 2001 and 2002 teams, lead by many of the Eastlake Class of 2007 seniors, made it to the championship.  He joined the Eastlake staff during 2004 where he coached defense for the Sophomore Team, which was undefeated that season.  After returning to the Youth Program for the 2005 season, he rejoined the Eastlake staff as the head coach for the Sophomore Program.  He loves coaching football because it’s the ultimate team sport.

He enjoys spending time with his wife, Connie, daughters Tessa and Rachel (Eastlake graduates) and son Dane (Eastlake 2007 senior). Coach Steel is a CPA and owns and operates several small businesses in the Puget Sound region.

Summary:

Coach Smith is a 1976 graduate of the University of Washington where he rowed on two national championship crews and received three varsity letters.  A 1979 graduate of the Gonzaga University School of Law, he is a partner in Smith Brown Sterling PS, Attorneys and Accountants of Fall City, Washington.  His primary focus is on litigation and criminal defense.

Coach Smith has an extensive background in coaching baseball and football over the past nine years with the Eastlake Youth Programs.

Married for 27 years to his wife, Peggy, they have four children, Sandra 25, Christine 24, Cynthia 21, and Stephen 16.  They attend Eastridge Christian Assembly where Coach Smith teaches 4th and 5th grade Sunday school.

An avid skier, Coach Smith is Level III certified in ski instruction with 21 years experience in teaching and training instructors on the nuances of ski instruction.

Summary:

Coach Rich Starrett grew up as a military kid  and was afforded the opportunity to  live around the world until his senior year of  High School.  Soon after, he was a linebacker at Whitworth for four years.  His first teaching /coaching job was at Shelton where he coached under coaching legend Jack Stark. This year marks Rich Starrett’s 29th year of coaching.

He moved to the Lake Washington District in 1984 after a few years in Central and South America. When  not coaching on the ‘ol gridiron, you can find him on the slopes, on a river or enjoying some good rousing verse in iambic pentameter.
